Every new account has a card on file from sign-up, so you choose with the full picture. The offer and the date of your first charge are shown before you pay. Cancel before that date and nothing is ever charged. Core is complete on its own: nothing you need to log, invoice, get paid and report your GST and BAS sits behind Power Bean, and nothing ever moves from Core to Power Bean. One seat per account. If others in your business don't send invoices, you don't need more seats.
Questions people ask
Is the price really GST-inclusive?
Yes. $17 and $29 a month, $170 and $290 a year, are the amounts charged, in Australian dollars, with GST included. Your receipt comes from Stripe.
What does “founding member” mean?
Beta testers are founding members. They get complimentary Power Bean for the beta testing period, then keep Power Bean at $17 a month ($170 a year) for as long as they stay subscribed. A cancel or a lapse ends the founding price.
How does the free trial work?
Every new account starts with 21 days free on Core or Power Bean, monthly or yearly, with a card on file. The first charge is on day 22. Cancel before then and nothing is charged; cancel a yearly plan within 14 days of its first payment and it is refunded in full.
What happens when the free period or trial ends?
Your card is on file from sign-up. On the date shown at sign-up, in Settings and in the reminder emails before it, the plan you chose is billed and carries on as a normal subscription. Cancel before then from Settings → Account → Plan & billing → Manage billing and nothing is charged. If a payment fails and is never fixed, the account becomes read-only — you can still download your data or delete the account — and is removed after 30 days.
Can I cancel, and do I keep my data?
Cancel from Settings → Account → Plan & billing at any time; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Your backup and CSV exports are always available, and you can delete the account yourself.
Does Hello Bean take a cut of my invoices?
No. Pay-online runs through your own Stripe account; Stripe's card fees apply as per your Stripe agreement and nothing comes to us.
Does Bean cost extra?
Power Bean includes a monthly allowance of Bean questions on our key. If you want more, add your own AI key (Anthropic) in Settings → Ask Bean → AI key and your provider bills you directly, usually cents.
Refunds?
Cancel a yearly plan within 14 days of the first payment and it is refunded in full. A monthly plan has no part-refund; you keep access to the end of the month you paid for. Australian Consumer Law still applies. The detail is in the Terms of Service, section 8.
